A few weeks back, we hosted the first Screen Social to feature the new crop of films which make up the Official Selection for Cannes in a Van’s 2014 season. We also grabbed the filmmakers for a quick interview on the night. Here Louis Paxton talks to Screen Social about his experiences making Dollface, which won Best Comedy at The Van d’Or Independent Film Awards in September 2013. He also chats about funding and entering his film into festivals.

A hugely respected champion of grass roots filmmaking and independent film exhibition, he has played an integral role in bringing short film to the masses via his curation of The London Short Film Festival, the innovative Halloween Society and latterly The Branchage Film Festival in Jersey.
