    Congratulations to James W. Griffiths who has just won the 2014 BAFTA for Short Film for his short Room 8. The film was written and directed by Griffiths and was an entry into the Imagination Series competition run by Bombay Sapphire (who must be glad of the extra PR). See it while you can online!     Number 15 in our selection of student films for our Student Film Month is George Lucas‘ Freiheit – one of a handful of short films he made while studying at USC Film School. It shows the attempted escape across the Berlin border of a German student whilst the soundtrack talks about freedom. Trunkated is a film set in a surreal world of floating elephants and motherships. It follows the story of one such elephant that falls down onto unfamiliar land, and his journey back where he belongs.
